VA40 is an oil-based water-displacing fluid that is used for anti-corrosion and cleaning of steel barrels. Its properties allow it to penetrate into lead and dirt deposits and remove the water within them that binds the soiling to steal. Once the water has been replaced a light agitation can safely remove the soiling within a barrel. When combined with a Pull-Though & Patch Set or Cleaning Rod it can quickly and safely clean your barrel of lead and dirt deposits whilst also leaving a light coating to prevent corrosion if storing in moist conditions.
