ASG CZ Shadow 2 CO2 4.5mm BB Air Pistol

Original price

£225.95

Sale price

£220.95

Designed by top-tier competition shooters, the Shadow 2 is a well-balanced handgun made for speed and precision. The ASG CZ Shadow 2 4.5mm air pistol takes from its real steel counterpart and delivers all the same great features.

The slide is crafted out of anodised aluminium and features a less rounded and more angled design with a slight weight increase due to the wider slide. The added weight and design of the slide improve recoil management and allow greater precision shooting.

Deeper and more pronounced slide serrations on the slide furnish the shooter with a firmer grip when racking the slide. In addition, the pronounced chequering of the front and back grips when combined with the thinner profile CNC machined zinc shells, promote a better wrap around the pistol grip. The Shadow 2 trigger guard has also been extended for easier trigger access and a superior shooting experience when wearing gloves.

The fully licensed Shadow 2 also features a new grip angle cut which deepens at the beaver tail along with a new undercut at the trigger guard. These grip cuts allow the Shadow 2 to sit more firmly in the shooter's hand and promote better recoil management.

An enlarged magazine catch is adjustable with three available positions that can be set using only a hex key. The magazine catch also has a more pronounced outwards profile, giving the shooter a positive confirmation when pressing the release catch. The Shadow 2 recoil spring guide is made out of high-quality stainless steel for durability.

The Shadow 2 comes with a fibre optic front sight and adjustable rear sight. Powered by a CO2 cartridge located in the 17-round steel BB magazine, the Shadow 2 delivers a hard consistent kick with every shot.

The CZ Shadow is also one of the more unique air pistols to take inspiration from ASG's extensive knowledge in the airsoft world as it features an adjustable hop-up system. For the non-airsofters, a hop-up exploits the Magnus effect whereby the spin of a round object influences its direction. By essentially forcing the directional spin of the BB so instead of the BB spinning in an unpredictable direction leading to unpredictable accuracy in a non-Hop-Up system, a Hop-Up system forces the BB to backspin leading to better accuracy.

Designed to be a class-dominating competition shooter pistol from the ground up, the ASG CZ Shadow 2 is a firm favourite with airgun target shooters worldwide.

Real Steel History

The modern CZ Shadow 2 is a sidearm with a heritage that goes back to the 1970s with its predecessor - the CZ75. Its fundamental pistol configuration is something that has stood the test of time.

The CZ75 saw plenty of Cold War action, ending up being used in a raft of outfits across Eastern Europe from security to the military.

Today, the semi-automatic 9mm Shadow 2 makes its living as an impressive competition weapon drawing on its roots to be regarded as a well-balanced and well-built precision sports shooter.

Co2 Care and Maintenance

Always ensure that your gun is not stored with a Co2 Capsule installed as this can compress your gun's internal seals causing rapid leaking.

As Co2 is quite a volatile gas it is common for the gun to leak should temperature conditions change.

As temperature change affects Co2 so much, we recommend not storing your gun in hot areas or using it in cold environments. this will also ensure your gun lasts longer and performs better.

For every 5 Co2 capsules or just before storage, we recommend applying a drop of silicon oil to the top of the Co2 capsule before inserting, this lubricates and protects the piercing nozzle and prevents corrosion.

Only use Co2 with lubricants, we recommend UMAREX branded Co2

Effective Compliance with the Violent Crime Reduction Act 2006 (VCRA): Sections 31 and 32

Under the provisions of Sections 31 and 32 of the Violent Crime Reduction Act 2006, which were enacted through "The Violent Crime Reduction Act 2006 (Commencement No 3) Order 2007: firearms measures," specific regulations now apply to air weapons, their Pressure-Bearing component parts, and certain accessories.

Key Points to Note:

Restricted Items:

  • Airguns: All airguns are classified as restricted items.
  • Pressure-Bearing Parts of Airguns: This includes barrels, cylinders, reservoirs, and pistons.
  • Functional Moderators (Silencers/Suppressors): Moderators that reduce the sound of discharge are also classified as restricted items.

Definition and Registration:

  • Component Parts: While the VCRA does not explicitly define "component parts," the Home Office interprets this to include pressure-bearing parts such as barrels, cylinders, reservoirs, and pistons.
  • Accessories: Only moderators (silencers) require registration by dealers.

Legal Requirements for Transfer:

  • In-Person Transfer: It is an offence under the VCRA to transfer these restricted items through standard postal systems or to the end customer directly without the presence of both the buyer and either the seller or a representative of the seller.
  • Representatives of the Seller: This can be:
  1. An employee of the seller who is a registered firearms dealer (RFD).
  2. Another RFD authorized by the seller.
  3. An employee of the authorized RFD.

Collection and Delivery Options:

  • Collection from Store: Customers are encouraged to collect their restricted items directly from the store where purchased.
  • Transfer to Another RFD: Items can be transferred to a local RFD for collection, though the receiving RFD may charge a fee for this service.
  • Home Delivery: We offer home delivery through our in-house team to some areas of the UK. However, please note that this service has location restrictions and incurs higher costs due to the need for dedicated transport, making it more expensive than a standard RFD transfer.
