March Staff Picks: Fun, Gifts & Precision

Vector Air "Staff Picks" badge on a black and orange gradient background. White text with laurel wreath border, evokes professionalism.

This month, we seem to be heading in two very different directions—on one hand, we've got fun and gifting, and on the other, a precision instrument that would make a great gift to yourself (or your gun).

Craig's Pick: ALIAS GEM Dual-Calibre CO2 Pistol

Black airgun with a modern design, shown against a white background. It features smooth contours, a visible trigger, and a top rail.

While these have been selling fast, Craig is still hoping one finds its way into his hands as a gift—or, failing that, we may see one used as payment for a delivery run! 🤣

Jokes aside, Craig has been eagerly showing these off in-store to anyone willing to listen. The dual-calibre capability (switching between 4.5mm and 6mm) makes it a versatile little shooter, but let’s be honest—it’s not about performance, it’s about fun.

Since it’s classed as an airsoft pistol, it isn’t restricted under the VCRA, meaning it can be shipped directly to your door (as long as you’re over 18). This has made it an instant hit—a brilliant little fun gun that’s flying off the shelves.

Tee's Pick: Barnett Rat King Black Widow Slingshot

A carbon-fiber tripod with three legs and rubber grips, set against a white background. Visible text: "RSCF-T01" and logo.

If you know Tee, you can probably picture a young Tina in the ‘80s making a homemade slingshot—so this pick makes total sense.

The new Black Widow, now branded as "Rat King", is a bit of an odd name choice—probably some American marketing idea that "more names = better". But branding quirks aside, this slingshot stays true to the original with some useful upgrades:

Better grip texture for a solid hold

Built-in sighting system for improved accuracy

Much like Craig’s pick, it’s a fun, nostalgic choice that would make a great gift as we head into warmer weather.

Luke's Pick: APOLLO Knock Down Reset Target (Adjustable Difficulty)

Black metal camera quick release plate with multiple holes and engraved text, featuring a simple, functional design against a white background.

Luke’s taken the middle ground between fun and serious with this one—a perfect range target whether for your back garden airgun range or a professional setup.

Why it’s a great choice:

Resettable from a distance—no strings needed

Adjustable difficulty settings thanks to swivelling rings

3mm-thick steel—built to withstand serious abuse

Best used with 16-joule air rifles or 8-joule guns at closer ranges, it’s a great pick whether you’re setting up for personal plinking or running a full-on range course.

Karl's Pick: KalibrGun SNIPE 2 FS

Black torque tool with measurement scale and "Gunpany" logo, alongside a "Free 10 Piece Bit Set" with various tool bits shown.

We’re pretty sure this has been picked before, but its recent resurgence in-store sales has rekindled the love for it.

This thing is a performance monster with quality features that make it stand out:

Adjustable folding stock with monopod & bag rider

Arca rail & M-LOK cage for accessory mounting

Lightweight—only 3.9kg despite its feature set

If you’re into serious target shooting, this is an ideal upgrade—all the right accessories, with none of the unnecessary bulk.

Final Thoughts

Whether you're looking for a fun gift, a nostalgic throwback, or a serious upgrade, our March picks cover it all. What’s caught your eye this month? 🔥
