After the long days of the British Shooting Show, we’re all still feeling the effects—but that doesn’t mean we’re slowing down. This month, we’ve got some interesting staff picks for you, ranging from ultimate accuracy to practical upgrades. As always, these are products we’d buy with our own money, and if you know us, you know we don’t spend lightly.
So, let’s get straight into it—starting with the guys who have worked their arses off these past two weeks.
Craig's Pick: KalibrGun Cricket 2 PLB "Smooth"

After spending some time on the range at BSS, Craig had a moment of clarity—this rifle is something special. Yes, it may not have the shot count of the Cricket 2 Tactic, but the Smooth has something else going for it: an upgraded lightweight polymer stock.
“Gasp!” We hear you cry. But hear us out—if you’ve ever looked at a Weihrauch HW100 and thought, “What if they made a bullpup version with a great shot count and kept it lightweight?”—then this is it... and yes that is a mag holder in the stock.
Built by KalibrGun, the originators of the airgun bullpup, this thing dominated on the range at BSS with unmatched consistency. Its rotary magazine system might take a little getting used to, but it eliminates squashed pellets and double feeds, making it one of the most reliable mag systems out there. Paired with a CZ barrel and a regulator that embarrasses some far more expensive guns, this thing is an absolute sleeper hit.
If you’re paying £2,000 for an air rifle with an SD spread of 10 FPS and you haven’t considered this one... well, maybe you should have done a little more research.
Tee's Pick: Rokstad Carbon Fiber Tabletop Tripod (RSCF-T01)
Most people don’t think about using a tabletop tripod for shooting—probably because they’re still clinging to nostalgia with shooting bags. But for those who value portability, Tee has found the perfect addition to your setup.
This little carbon fiber tripod is ideal for a stable shooting platform, especially when paired with the right accessories. For those running ARCA rails, this is the go-to head adapter. If you haven’t yet upgraded to ARCA, the EPIC Universal Shooting Clamp will do the trick.
It’s compact, lightweight, and provides a rock-solid base—what more do you need?
Luke's Pick: Eagle Vision ARCA Plate Adapter for Picatinny Rail
Luke is all about modernizing shooting setups, and this is one of those upgrades that makes you wonder why you didn’t do it sooner.
This adapter lets you convert your Picatinny rail into an ARCA-compatible mount, meaning you can easily attach your rifle to tripods designed for precision shooting. It’s stable, adaptable, and works seamlessly with ARCA-standard mounting systems.
If you’ve been thinking about shifting to an ARCA-based shooting system, this is the way to start. Paired with a solid ball-headed tripod like the EPIC Tripod, this setup might just be the future. Maybe next year, we’ll even have these on the range at BSS for everyone to try.
Karl's Pick: Gunpany Torque Screwdriver (SCTK-04)
We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again—if you’re mounting optics, you need a torque screwdriver.
The number of phone calls and emails we get about “losing zero” or “scope won’t focus” is staggering. More often than not, the issue isn’t the scope—it’s how it was mounted. Too loose? It shifts. Too tight? You’ve crushed the tube.
Save yourself (and us) the hassle. Invest in a torque screwdriver and do it right. As a general rule:
Scope rings: 2NM on the tube
Rail mounts: 4NM
Now there’s no excuse.
Final Thoughts
That wraps up this month’s picks! The BSS may have wiped us out, but it also reinforced what works and what doesn’t. Whether you’re upgrading your shooting setup with ARCA accessories, picking up a serious pest control rifle, or just making sure your scope isn’t going anywhere, these are the products that impressed us most.
Let us know what you think—or don’t, we’ll still be here next month with more picks regardless. 👀
