Does anybody know of a good way of removing the obtrusive white lettering on replica pistols, that doesn't involve trying to colour match and spray the frame and slide? I was considering buying the black M9A3 full metal until I saw the 'nasty white'. I assume some of it is considered a statutory requirement (although I have a few CO2 replicas that have none of it). Some of it is probably a cost compromise. As far as I am aware the M9A3 firearm has model and manufacturer stamped on the slide. The CO2 replica has it in white lettering, together with some additional 4.5mm BB related information.

A bit of a difficult one, a lot of them are laser etched into the surface. So removal is next to impossible. However you may be able to get a paint match done with a car paint specialist or even valspar at B&Q. However I'm not sure how you could prep the surface successfully. If you work it out, let us know your results 👍
